Since restarting silences the issue, it could be that the old version's config node was deleted or reset. The old version does issue the same log message if the corresponding "location" node is deleted (note, the old version only supports 1 location node, whereas my newer version can have any number).
Can you temporarily turn off life360 app manual#
There could be an edge case where this isn't correctly updating, say if you add a Life360 node and then delete it?īut first, are you still running the manually installed version or did you uninstall it and re-install via npm? because the manual version might potentially confuse the server nodes WRT the original parent repo. It should get updated when a Life360 node is disabled and when it is deleted, but I admit I did not exhaustively test this.

when a Life360 node has been temporarily disabled.

I had added a "disabled_callbacks" (associative) array to be able to track whether or not a callback should be called (i.e. I see that "No callbacks" message in a few circumstances: when there are no "Life360"/location nodes in any flow or when a Location node has been disabled or deleted. the former "location" node) registers with the "Life360-Server" node and provides it a callback, which the Life360-Server node adds to its callback array. That server node maintains a callback (associative) array. That’s how young adults/children feel as well.I have seen this before. Imagine if your partner was tracking your every move and you don’t want to have to explain where you’ve been and why all the time, even if you are innocent and trustworthy. Therefore, the other party usually looks for ways to alter Life360, and more options become available every day. It’s quite understandable that a parent or guardian is concerned about the teen’s safety but imagine what it feels like to be watched all the time. Bear in mind the power that Life360 has and how the other party feels being tracked. In any case, try checking to ensure that location is permitted in the phone settings. There are also GPS faker apps that affect how Life360 functions. They simply log into Life360 on the burner phone and perform other steps not mentioned here. Another way you may see the error is if the other person has a “burner” phone. Other times, the error occurs if the user is out of range. Sometimes, the same member on two phones causes Life360 to display the no network or phone turned off message. In turn, there’s a message that the member’s Wi-Fi or GPS isn’t working properly so you won’t miss that something’s going on.
Can you temporarily turn off life360 app software#
This, for example, allows them to take a drive without the software tracking their location, speed, and route. The common hacks are to put the smartphone in Airplane mode, turn off Wi-Fi, or disable Background App Refresh from the phone’s settings. Some users may take advantage of Life360 software to temporarily go off-grid without turning off Location Sharing. In addition, the app might seem turned off when the smartphone is in battery-saving mode. The same applies when the battery drops below 20% or the phone gets turned off. To put things into perspective, if a circle member is at a location with poor reception or hits the mobile data limit, the app gets disabled. These include, but might not be limited to, smartphone battery status, network connection, cellular data limits, and more. One way or the other, the thing with false positives is that the software registers any changes in the key parameters.
